Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Knowlio (“the Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you may not use the Platform.

These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Haramayo Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 12410039), trading as Knowlio.

2. Services Provided

Knowlio is a cloud-based platform that enables users to:

• Create and host online courses
• Upload and stream video content
• Store and distribute digital assets (e.g., audio, images, PDFs, text files)
• Manage enrolled users and learners

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

3. Account Registration

You must provide accurate and complete information when registering an account. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

4. Fair Usage Policy

Knowlio offers plans with “unlimited” features (such as courses, users, uploads). However, to ensure service quality for all customers, we apply a fair usage policy:

• All accounts are subject to a 2 terabyte (2TB) monthly bandwidth cap.
• If your usage exceeds 2TB in any calendar month, we reserve the right to:
  • Charge for excess usage at a rate of [Insert £/GB or £/TB overage pricing], and/or
  • Throttle bandwidth or storage temporarily until usage returns to normal

We will notify you in advance before taking any action. Abuse of the service (e.g., mass video hosting, file dumping, or non-course-related delivery) is strictly prohibited.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you upload, including videos, images, audio, text, and course materials (“User Content”).

By uploading content, you grant Knowlio a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, and display the content solely for the purpose of operating the Platform and providing the service to you.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your content:

• Does not infringe intellectual property rights
• Does not violate any applicable laws
• Does not include or promote sexually explicit material, pornography, hate speech, violence, or criminal activity
• Does not contain unlawful, offensive, abusive, or harmful material

Uploading adult, illegal, or prohibited content is strictly forbidden. Accounts found hosting such content will be deactivated without prior notice and may be reported to the relevant authorities.

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms or any applicable law.

6. Payment & Billing

If you are on a paid subscription, fees will be billed in accordance with your selected plan. You agree to provide accurate payment information and authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.

Fees are non-refundable except as required by law.

7. Intellectual Property

All platform code, features, branding, and design elements are the intellectual property of Haramayo Ltd or its licensors. Except for your own content, you may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written consent.

8. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

• Use Knowlio for hosting unrelated or illegal content (e.g., adult entertainment, gambling, file sharing)
• Upload viruses, malware, or malicious code
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or exploit the platform
• Circumvent fair usage or bandwidth policies

Violation of these rules may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.

9. Termination

You may cancel your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, misuse of the service, or non-payment.

Upon termination, your content may be deleted from our systems after a grace period.

10. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

Knowlio is provided “as is”. While we strive for high availability and data protection, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or data loss prevention.

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• We disclaim all warranties, express or implied
• Our liability is limited to the total fees paid by you in the past 12 months
• We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be notified by email or platform notice. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
